Founded in 2003; Kickstand Productions produces concerts & festivals at some of the finest venues in Chicago & beyond. We currently serve as the talent buying office for Subterranean, Beat Kitchen, Wicker Park Fest & Do Division. Additionally, we book events with our venue partners at Bottom Lounge, Durty Nellies (Palatine, IL), Castle Theatre (Bloomington, IL), Gabes (Iowa City, IA), X-Ray Arcade (Cudahy, WI) as well as several other venues in the greater Middlewest. Kickstand Productions believes that everyone should feel safe during their music experience.
We commit to maintaining this by not tolerating harmful behaviours, which may include verbal harassment and non-consensual touching. If someone chooses to harm another person, they may be removed from the venue. If someone or something makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, no matter how minor it may seem, we encourage you to speak up.
Come talk to any venue staff member. They will follow your lead and work with you to try to make sure it does not happen again and that you continue to feel safe at our shows.
At some of our events, we will also have a #OurMusicMyBody booth to talk with an advocate and get more resources.
